If you are not able to place the skip on your driveway or property, you may require a permit from the local council. A permit is required when you need to place a skip on a public highway, which includes roads, footpaths, and verges. Councils regulate skip placement on public land to maintain safety, manage public space, and ensure that skips do not obstruct traffic or pedestrians. A permit ensures that skips are placed in accordance with the council's safety regulations, often requiring skips to meet certain criteria to minimises disruption.
We can help with the following permits:
Slough Borough Council
Only skip hire companies registered with Slough Borough Council are eligible for permits. Permits are issued for a duration of 14 days, with an option to request a 7-day renewal. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure the skip has an authorised permit.

The cost for a skip permit is £36, covering the initial week. A £45 fee applies for each subsequent week that the permit is extended.
